The Student Quality Circle (SQC) events in Mauritius were organized with the primary objective of fostering creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among students from diverse educational backgrounds. These events aimed to provide a platform for the youth to showcase their talents, innovative ideas, and problem-solving abilities while addressing pertinent issues affecting the nation and the world at large. Held from 24th July to 29th July at Mauritius, the SQC events witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and garnered widespread appreciation for promoting academic excellence and fostering a positive learning environment.

The SQC events featured a range of stimulating activities, encouraging students to participate in various competitions that challenged their skills and knowledge. The key events included:

Debate Competition: The debate competition proved to be one of the most engaging and intellectually stimulating events of the day. Participants were divided into teams and presented their arguments on thought-provoking topic “Digital technology is making student’s lives better.”
Poster and slogan making competition: The poster making event showcased the artistic talents of the students. They were provided with themes “Together for sustainable future.” The posters served as a powerful medium to convey powerful messages, and the participants skillfully blended creativity with relevant content.
Cultural Performances: The SQC events celebrated the rich cultural diversity of different countries through captivating cultural performances. Students showcased traditional music, dance, and art forms, fostering a sense of unity and pride in the country's heritage. The cultural performances provided a much-needed break from the competitive activities and added a touch of celebration to the event.
Mathematics competition: The students participated in mathematics competition where the students were encouraged to think deeply and logically, promoting the development of critical thinking skills. The competitive nature of these events fostered motivation and a desire to excel. Students were driven to improve their skills and knowledge to perform better in subsequent competitions.
Case Study presentation: The innovative project presentations were the highlight of the SQC events, providing a platform for students to present their creative solutions to real-world challenges. Projects ranged from technological innovations to school’s problem-solving initiatives aimed at improving community and school well-being. Each team presented their ideas with passion and dedication, impressing the audience and judges alike.
