Swostishree Gurukul is an IB World school authorized to offer Primary years Programme and is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Swostishree Gurukul believes is important for our students. There are 5700+ schools all over the world following common IB philosophy, standards, practices and world class teaching pedagogy and we are a part of this global community of IB schools creating global citizens who thrive to change the world. The school was established with the vision of being an IB Continuum school to provide world class education within the country.

Teaching and learning in the at SG celebrates the many ways people work together to construct meaning and make sense of the world. Through the interplay of asking, doing and thinking, this constructivist approach leads towards open, democratic classrooms. An IB education empowers young people for a lifetime of learning, independently and in collaboration with others. It prepares a community of learners to engage with global challenges through inquiry, action and reflection. We follow the IB framework and pedagogy which is blended with National Curriculum.

In Swostishree Gurukul IB World School, students have opportunities to establish and pursue sustained inquiries. In this way they gain knowledge, conceptual understandings, skills and dispositions to contribute to, and make a difference in their own lives, their communities and the wider world. Approaches to learning (ATL) are an integral part of an IB education, offering up an array of lenses for students to promulgate their inquiries. The ATL are crucial for exploring knowledge within the transdisciplinary themes or global context: they help students think, research, communicate, socialize and manage themselves effectively. All teachers foster and support the development of the ATL by providing opportunities embedded in authentic learning experiences.
